UK National Cyclo-Cross Championships

Earlier this month, we attended the HSBC UK National Cyclo-Cross Championships. The event was fast-paced and full of excitement as everyone was keen to see whether Ian Field would make his fifth win as Elite Men’s Champion. He arrived to huge support and he expressed his determination to win back his title which he succeeded triumphantly.
Defending her title as Elite Women’s Champion, Nikki Brammeier rode to success. Within the first lap of the race, Brammeier achieved a strong gap and didn’t look back.
In the Under-23 Men competition, youngster Billy Harding took the title after giving a competitive performance. The twenty-year-old worked hard to chase Chris Rothwell to win by a tremendous margin.
Similarly, world champion Evie Richards held her title as Under-23 women with a fantastic performance. Within the opening lap it was clear that the 19-year-old reigning champion.
The juniors impressed too with Tom Pidcock adding British Junior Men’s Champion to his list of titles, and Emily Wadsworth celebrated as she won the British Junior Women’s Champion.
It was a thrilling event that showcased the talent of the riders as they embarked on a tough ride in difficult conditions.
